Quick Start
In this guide we'll cover how to setup the DAN-F10N GNSS breakout board. To follow along with this tutorial, at a minimum, users will need the following items:
- Computer with an operating system (OS) that is compatible with all the software installation requirements
- USB 3.1 Cable A to C - 3 Foot - Used to interface with the DAN-F10N GNSS Breakout (1)
- SparkFun Dualband L1/L5 GNSS Breakout - DAN-F10N
- If your computer doesn't have a USB-A slot, then choose an appropriate cable or adapter.
Board Layout
The SparkFun Dualband L1/L5 GNSS Breakout - DAN-F10N features the following:

- USB-C Connector
- The primary inteface for powering and interacting with the board

- DAN-F10N GNSS Module
- The u-blox DAN-F10N GNSS module

- Headers
- Exposes pins to power the board and breaks out the pins of the DAN-F10N GNSS module

- Status LEDs
- LED status indicators for the DAN-F10N GNSS module

L1/L5 Antenna
U.FL Connector- An optional input for an external GNSS antenna

- Backup Battery
- Backup power to maintain ephemeris data on the DAN-F10N GNSS module for warm starts
USB Driver
The USB drivers for the CH340 USB-to-Serial converter can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
u-center 2 Software
u-center 2 is u-blox's software application for configuration, evaluation, and debugging of u-blox GNSS receivers and services. The software provides a relatively, simple graphics user interface to assess and test u-blox GNSS modules for navigation and positioning performance. It also allows users to define or apply GNSS product configurations for specific use cases. Saving, restoring, or sharing configurations between different products is easy.

User Account Required
The first time that users access the software, they will need to either create or login to their existing u-blox account. This requires internet access to login through a web browser. Once the account has been verified, users will no longer need to login again; unless they log out from the u-center 2 software.
USB Programming
The USB connection is utilized for configuration and serial communication. Users only need to connect their DAN-F10N Dualband L1/L5 GNSS breakout board to a computer using a USB-C cable.
USB Driver
Users will need to install a USB driver before they can interact with the GNSS module. For more details, please refer to the USB Driver section of the Software page.
