Compensation Algorithm Warm Up Period
On first-time power up of the STCC4, the manufacturer recommends an initial warm up period with the sensor operating in continuous measurement mode for 12 hours before CO2 measurements achieve full accuracy. When powered down for more than three hours, the STCC4 can take up to an hour of operation to reach full accuracy. The sensor self-calibrates by assuming it sees fresh air (~400 ppm) at least once per week. The very first 20 seconds after the first ever power-up output a fixed bypass value of 390 ppm.
